Focus Shift Shooting with the new Nikon Z7

I watched a YouTube video about how to use Focus Shift Shooting on a D850. I couldn't find one on the Z7. Regardless, I decided to try that on my Z7 and the photo below was my first attempt. This is not a macro shot or a landscape shot, but a simple experiment with the 24-70 Z-mount lens at 50mm. Other settings were f/8, 1/5s, ISO 800. This was in a well lit room, not anything fancy.

I set the Interval at 1 (like a macro) and to take 100 shots. The distance from front to back was about 6 inches. If you've done any focus shift shooting you know that it usually doesn't take all 100 shots. In this case, it took 60 shots. Looking at them later.... shots 12 - 60 were beyond the 6 inch depth and were therefore out of focus completely. I used shots 1 -11 with Helicon Focus to get the resulting shot below. Anyway, it will be a little bit of a learning curve to get the settings right, but much easier that Helicon Remote to find the front and back focus points.
