Today was my initial visit to Buffalo City Hall. It was more of a scouting mission than anything else, although I did capture a few good images and have a lot of work to do on my return.
John Wade, the chief architect of the Buffalo City Hall, initially stated his intention to build a "huge ornamental monument that would dominate the sky-line of Buffalo" and serve as a symbol of the city. The building was completed in 1932. These images are of the Council Chambers on the 13th floor of the building. The skylight is a representation of the heavens above with the idea that everything done in this room is "out in the open".
